A Curriculum Framework for Ethics in Technology

Panels/Special TopicsSPECIAL SESSIONS 02:00 PM - 03:30 PM (America/New_York) 2024/11/07 19:00:00 UTC - 2024/11/07 20:30:00 UTC
The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has spurred many ethical considerations. Students must be prepared to understand these issues and use this knowledge in their decision-making. Hence, business schools must develop curriculum to educate students about these issues. Our special session will outline a curriculum framework for ethics in technology. The goal of the framework is to inform faculty, as they help students analyze and discuss issues related to the intersection of technology and ethics, to make more informed decisions, and to develop competency in the skills to act effectively upon those decisions. The framework outlines twelve primary elements, offers suggested class resources and activities for each element, and offers guidance on how to operationalize the framework into the business school curriculum.
